Factory Refurbished?

Hello all,

I'm looking to buy a new television, and found a bunch on this site: http://www.techforless.com

However, a lot of the products say that they're factory refurbished. The products at this site are within this price range, but I've never bought anything that was factory refurbished before. Does anyone have any opinions on this matter, what do you think?

Thanks in advance!

I do not have experience, with this, but it seems its safe and they deliver guarantee. You might give it a try!

It could mean almost anything.. Sometimes they are just units shich haven't sold in retailers, and are checked and repackaged. They can be very good value. I have a Fuji camera which was sold direct from Fuji years ago as refurbished. As far as I could tell it was new, and came in packaging which also looked perfect, with the manuals and acessories.

Is there an opportunity to send one back if it doesn't look up to scratch?
Such units should work functionally, and assuming the guarantee is good, then you're probably OK.

Is the price differential enough to make it worth your while?

Check the details too. If there's mention of light cosmetic damage then prices should be lower, though some suppliers (e.g. Logitech) do mention this, yet apparently it's often just the box which might have the damage, not the unit inside. Often neither the box nor the unit are damaged.

I guess you have to read the fine print, and decide whether the price advantage is worth it for you.
