USB turntables

Hi,

I need a turntable of my own for when I move into my new house (I've used my Dad's at home and my previous housemate's in the last house).

Are there any USB turntables that can be recommended? My current set-up is an iMac using Yamaha HS50M monitors through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface. I don't have a massive budget, but probably about £100, maybe up to £150.

Thanks!

To be honest you would be better getting a second hand turntable (like a Rega) and a seperate USB phono stage. Then you at least have a decent bit of Hi Fi. Most of these USB turntables tend to be plastic rubbish! You should be able to find both for around £150 with some good hunting on fleabay.

Agree with above. A seperate phono stage may give you the opportunity to adjust the gain on input. There are many cases where the digital input is overloaded and system settings will not accept change.
