Hi all

My Meridian CD Player (200/263) is definitely the weakest link in my system but looks superb fits in the decor etc. and does have good analogue sound (in a dated sort of way).

Does anyone have any experience of upgrading mid fir kit...£500 of upgrade is going to do a lot more than spending £500 plus the Ebay value of the Meridians and won't be close to the build quality.

All comments gatefully received,
good listening
dave

A bit left field this one:
I've been flabberghasted by my recently purchased Sony S760 BDP. Into my MuFi DAC, it's the best CD transport I've had. Does a very good job on its own too.

I also really enjoyed the analog sound of my Meridian 206B.
It outperformed a lot of modern cd players.

What you could do to upgrade is use a superclock and replace some opamps and condensators for better ones. Some companies are specialized in doing these modifications.

I think you will be suprised about the potential of your Meridian setup.
